HOW DOES THE VOICE RECORDER SPY PEN WORK?

Turn the recording switch on the top of the unit counterclockwise. When you turn the button, you will see the white dot turn from white to black to indicate that it is in the record mode. Want to set up your recording mode? Unscrew the pen by twisting counter-clockwise on the silver and black design ring in the unit's center.

Once unscrewed, you will see your USB connection. A small black switch moves from side to side, allowing you to change the voice recorder's settings. It will record continuously or move it to the three gold dots for sound-activated recording when set to the gold line.

Enforcement agencies, court systems, and your human resources department will most likely require any evidence you bring to them to be stamped with the date and time of the incident; luckily, this works on both Windows and Mac computers! More settings are available through a Windows-only program.

With this small recording device turned off and plugged into a USB port on a PC, the program can be opened to reveal the date and time stamp setting, along with a section for adjusting the sensitivity of voice-activated recordings and the quality at which audio is recorded.

This last section lets you switch from the default XHQ quality to the HQ quality mode. The 8GB internal memory can store up to 24 hours in PCM, 144 hours in XHQ, or up to a whopping 288 hours when capturing HQ quality audio.
