CHARGING THE SPY PEN

First things first, make sure to charge your pen camera upon receiving it. It may have a small charge when it first arrives, but charging will reduce the chances of missing any important information or the device dying while you're in the middle of recording.

Charging the device is simple. The only thing needed is a USB port to plug the device into. Unscrew the back of the pen and find the USB port. Let it charge for about three hours, and you're ready to go. Charging is complete when the blinking light turns into a solid blue light.

You're ready to start recording once your spy camera pen is charged. However, you will need a memory card in order to save the information while recording video.

TURN ON THE SPY PEN

Now you need to turn on your camera pen. Of course, you can choose different settings for your spy cameras, but video footage is generally an excellent way to go. We'll talk about how to record your video in a moment, but first, turn on your device.

To turn on the pen, push the on/off button on the top of the pen.

RECORDING VIDEO

You want your spy camera to take a video when you need it to, plus you don't want to attract unwanted attention while operating the device. But you still want quality.

Recording video requires:

  1. Select motion or continuous using the quick switch. 
  2. Hold the top button for 2 seconds. The light will blink blue 2 times and go out, indicating that your recording has started.

This device is used for recording videos with audio. You will be able to document evidence when needed, without anyone knowing that you have a spy pen camera.

ENDING A RECORDING

To stop recording, press and hold the same button you used to start recording. It's really that simple.

Press and hold the on/off button for approximately two to three seconds. The blue light will blink quickly and turn off after a few moments. This will indicate that the recording has stopped. And the device will power off.

ACCESSING YOUR RECORDINGS

Once you've created your recordings, you need a way that you can actually view them, right?

Simply plug the device directly into your computer to access the files that are stored on the memory card. Then, select the option to view your files. From there, you can view, organize, or delete files.

You can also remove the SD card and plug it into your computer.

ERASING THE INTERNAL MEMORY

Erasing the memory is quite simple when connected to a computer. Access the files and recordings you have created on your camera pen. Then, select which ones to remove. Highlight them with your mouse and select 'delete' to get rid of them.

You can also move files while accessing them on a computer. This allows you save them more permanently than on your spy pen camera's memory.

Downloading files regularly to your computer is the best course of action, as the files fill up the memory of the device. Once full, the camera will be unable to make new recordings until the videos have been deleted and some storage space is freed up.

What else should you know about your spy pen before you get started using it? Here are some general tips and things to keep in mind.

DON'T SPILL WATER ON IT OR LEAVE IT OUTSIDE

This might seem obvious, but it is imperative that your pen camera does not get wet. If it does, it may stop recording or may damage the memory.
