EASILY LOCATE HIDDEN CAMERAS WITH OUR NEW RECON HIDDEN LENS FINDER
We carry a few different camera lens finders that have some special features, and the Recon is no different. A spy finder works by having you look through a red film that blocks out other colors. This allows you to use the flashing red light to reflect against anything and everything in a room to help you determine if a hidden camera is present. This device's special features include the ability to increase the flashes it emits, making it simpler to find any malicious camera.
HOW DOES THE RECON WORK?
On one side of the unit there are six red LED's that emit a flashing light, which you will face away from yourself ( so you don't hurt your eyes! ) when turning on. You'll be looking through the red film from the opposite side and watching for anything suspicious. It has a simple On/Off button that needs to be held down for only a second before the lights start to blink. Clicking it up to three times to increase the frequency at which the lights blink, making it a bit easier to catch on to a suspicious reflection. The fourth click will bring it back to the slowest blink, and holding down the button for another couple of seconds will turn the unit off.
When conducting a search, you need to check just about everything in a home or office, as cameras are getting smaller and smaller as the capabilities of technology increase. Therefore, you don't want to stand in the middle of a room and look around at everything; you want to go over every inch of the wall, your shelving units, your knick-knacks and appliances. Be sure to check things from multiple angles, as LED bulbs, from things such as TV remotes, would also reflect against the camera finder, but they would reflect from any angle you looked at it. Camera lenses, on the other hand, will only reflect from one angle, as long as you are close enough.
WHY CHOOSE THE RECON?
This is one of our simpler, yet better camera lens locators. That added feature of quickening the flashing LED's really adds some ease-of-use to this whole process. It even has a loop hole so you can carry it with you on your keys! It doesn't rely on any batteries; you simply plug it in for power for about 4-5 hours for a full charge, using the included Micro USB cable, and it should last for nearly six months in standby while waiting to be used. With only one button on the entire unit, it's simply a breeze to own and operate!

Q: Can it also detect RF signals?
A: No, this device is solely a camera lens finder.
Q: From how far back can I detect cameras?
A: About 30 feet should be the max, however you're still going to want to get as close as possible to whatever device you're trying to identify as recording equipment.
Q: I'm finding flashing reflections everywhere. Why?
A: You may come across some false positives when conducting a search, which is why we don't really suggest to try and detect suspicious devices from a distance, but to get as close as possible to help in a physical search.
